In recitation today, we started a class Wiki. I think it's pretty interesting and I never realized how easy it was to go online and change wiki's, especially Wikipedia! I thought you had to be a paying member to join and change entries, but apparantly you just need to create a username. It's kind of scary, thinking that anyone can write whatever they want about a subject and that there really isn't anyone in charge of it, checking to see if it's correct. I guess we just have to trust each other's knowledge!

My roommate is a pretty hardcore computer gamer. She loves the game, "Guild Wars" and plays it constantly. She actually has met quite a few people on it, one she actually is becoming great friends with. They started out talking on the game, then through myspace, and now she is planning on going to visit him! He lives in California. I was a little concerned and worried about the idea at first, but now I think that it will be alright - he seems like a legit guy, at least what I've seen/heard about him. I just hope everything goes alright when she is out there. I also feel a lot better because her best friend decided to go with her to meet one of her friends in CA. They will be taking the same flight and will be meeting each other's friend/person they are meeting. And will only be a few hours a part incase something happens. But I think it's crazy how relationships like that can form so quickly online!

alright so here is my "technology" posting..

I am not very up-to-date with technology. I was on Twitter last summer, it was required for my internship, but it started getting ridiculous, the amount of tweets I got from everyone telling me EVERYthing they were doing. I think Twitter is a great idea if used correctly and moderately..but I think I was kind of ruined by the requirement of it last summer. I think it is neat the amount of peopel who are on it now! and I feel pretty cool having been on it a year before it became really popular.
